Grass Cutting Contractor Should be Replaced

Lib Dem Cllrs Myrtle Stewardson, Michael Headley and Sallyanne Smith have called for Bedford Borough Council's grass cutting contractor to be replaced

Putnoe Liberal Democrat Councillors are calling for action to tackle the incredibly poor grass cutting carried out this year in Putnoe and other areas.

Cllr Sallyanne Smith said "The grass cutting in Putnoe has been dreadful this year. In some areas the grass is waist high and in other places the work done has been very patchy, with straggly grass left. This is simply not good enough. Local residents are right to expect a decent standard of cutting for their council tax."

"If the current contractors can't do the job properly they should be replaced by a company who can. We are not willing to put up with the current effort."

Putnoe Liberal Democrat councillors have asked the councils to replace the current contractors due to the continuing poor performance.
