Street Cleaning Not Stunts

May 15, 2007 1:00 AM

Liberal Democrats have reacted angrily to Mayor Branston using DSD resources for a publicity battle with the County Council.

Cllr Michael Headley said "One of his first actions on being re-elected was to use a convoy of DSD cleaning vehicles in a stunt to try and upstage a County Council publicity event. I am sure local people would rather have these vehicles cleaning their streets, than being used for silly stunts."
