Borough Hall in BedfordWith festive bank holidays coming up, there are a few changes to Council opening hours and services over the bank holidays.

All Council buildings including Borough Hall, the Customer Service Centre, The Higgins Bedford and libraries are closed over the three bank holidays: Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year's Eve but otherwise will be open as normal, with a few exceptions:

Borough Hall and the Customer Service Centre will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

The Higgins Bedford will also close at 3pm on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

Bedford Central Library will be open as normal, with self-service hours starting one hour earlier (3pm) on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve but the library will remain open to LibraryPLus members until 6pm as normal.

Bromham Library is open to LibraryPlus members for self-service hours only on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

Putnoe and Kempston Libraries will close at 3pm on Christmas Eve and New Years Eve.

Wootton Library will be open as normal.
