Boost for Sporting Activity on the River- Mayor Dave Hodgson

Dave commented recently on making more use of the river:

We are all rightly proud of the beautiful River Great Ouse in Bedford, but there is one way in particular in which we can make even more of it for the benefit of local residents and visitors. I'm referring to increasing opportunities for more people to actually get on the river themselves and enjoy it for sports and leisure activities. Last year, the Council joined up with the Environment Agency to publish a 'Waterspace Strategy' for Bedford, which focused on how we could really make the most of our fantastic river for the community as a whole.
