Safer route to school: Shortstown to Bedford Academy
Some of our children and adults in the Shortstown area face danger every single day when walking or cycling to the Bedford Academy School and areas of Kingsbrook.
We believe that this route is currently not safe enough for pedestrians and cyclists.
A pedestrian crossing at the exit slip road from the A421 where it meets the Harrowden Road/Wallis Way roundabout would alleviate these safety fears and make it easier for pedestrians and cyclists to travel into Bedford.
Safer route to school: Shortstown to Bedford Academy
We, the undersigned, urge Bedford Borough Council Highways Department to liaise with stakeholders, including Highways England, to install this crossing as soon as possible.
