Guardian and Observer back Lib Dems in Bedford to win - Lib Dems step up campaign for the last two days
The Guardian and Observer has backed the Liberal Democrats to win in Bedford and Kempston in the General Election, recommending that Labour voters jump ship and back the Liberal Democrats in the seat. In the last few days, Henry Vann, Liberal Democrat Parliamentary Candidate for Bedford and Kempston, has stepped up the campaign working harder than ever, the polls point to a close race in this constituency. The Times newspaper picked the constituency out as a three way marginal.
Henry commented on the progress of his campaign saying; "We have noticed a real pick up in support locally, more and more people have been getting involved, and have been supporting our campaign.
"What matters most is speaking to people directly, listening to and acting on their concerns, and campaigning to protect our services and fight to improve our towns.
"However, this support is a welcome addition to the hundreds of hard working local campaigners and thousands of supporters. It is clear that Labour voters are backing us in this constituency as well."
Earlier in the week, Henry set out his priorities for Bedford and Kempston.
