Work on Harrowden Crossroads at the bottom of Tinkers Hill: After many years of pleading for this crossroads to be made safe after many accidents, £80k has now been put aside for this financial year to improve and make it safer for all.
The Council is looking at a road safety scheme to address problems associated with right turning movements at the junction. Money has been allocated from the 2013/14 Integrated Transport Programme. Design work is starting with a view to construction in either the summer holidays or possibly October half term time.

Call for Volunteers: Over the past 6 years a group of volunteers have been running Shortstown Village Hall. These volunteers have now decided to retire and unless new ones come forward the hall will close in August.
This would be a real shame. The hall has regular bookings for community groups some of which residents of Shortstown and their children attend.
If you would like to know more about how you could help and stop a real asset in Shortstown from closing please email: shortstownhall@btinternet.com or phone 01234 741390.
