Dave Hodgson applying “Smart Water” to his scooter

During the Kingsbrook & Cauldwell "Fortnight of Action" I took the opportunity to get my scooter marked with "Smart Water". "Smart Water" uniquely identifies your property, it's described as water with its own DNA, and it can be used on jewellery and other valuables without damaging them.

Many Neighbourhood Watch groups are helping let people know about Smart Water and you might have seen some signs on lampposts stating that an area is a Smart Water area.

The Fortnight of Action saw the Bedford Borough Partnership running a range of different events. The Partnership comprises the Council, health services, Police, Fire, local businesses, community & parish councils, voluntary organizations and voluntary groups.

There was a chance to have a free fire safety check and the Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team were out and about offering advice on the prevention of crime, particularly burglary & theft, and the measures householders can take to protect their property.
