An Array of Arts, Culture and Events in Bedford this Weekend: 1 - Bedford's Big High Street Showcase

In and around Bedford town centre this weekend, you will find great arts and cultural events everywhere you turn. Tomorrow sees the Bedford's Big High Street Showcase, with the High Street closed to traffic for one day and taken over by a festival of the very best of the High Street, of Bedford and of the surrounding area. What stands out for me is how businesses and community groups in the area have really taken on this concept and are putting on a fantastic day's entertainment tomorrow.

To name just a few of the attractions on offer, there is an animal farm thanks to Ark Farm, Thurleigh; a sports arena, children's rides, the Handmade in Bedfordshire Market, live music and dance, free valuations by W & H Peacock's and even inflatable tennis on Castle Mound! There is also much, much more besides on the High Street and elsewhere in town, including the intriguing mini golf course which is being constructed on the corner of Alexandra Road and Midland Road.
