Bedford’s coronavirus investigation findings due on 6 July

In an interview with the Bedford Independent Mayor Dave Hodgson outlined that we are expecting the results of the Public Health England and the Biosecurity Centre's 'deep dive' investigation in Bedford Borough's high Coronavirus infection rate on 6 July, although Mayor Dave is trying to pull that forward.

However, if there are any findings during the investigation the team can take action to try and bring down infection levels as quickly as possible.

Mayor Dave said he doesn't think there is just one reason why Bedford has been experiencing a different infection rate. "Personally, I think it'll be a number of different things," he said. "Something doesn't seem right and obviously we want to contain the virus."
