Nominations for the Bedford Sports Awards 2019 are now open.

The Bedford Sports Awards recognises local sporting greatness alongside the schools, clubs, organisations and volunteers who do incredible work to make our fantastic sporting community what it is.

The eleven categories are:

- Adult Personality of the Year

- Junior Personality of the Year

- Club of the Year

- Community Club/Group of the Year

- Team of the Year

- School of the Year

- Coach of the Year

- Admin/Outstanding Volunteer of the Year

- Young Volunteer of the year

- Disability Sports Award

- Outstanding Achiever Awards

It takes 10-15 minutes to nominate someone, and nominations can be submitted online at www.bedford.gov.uk/sportsawards. The deadline for nominations in Wednesday 20th November at 5pm

All shortlisted nominees will be invited to attend a high-profile ceremony for an evening of fun and celebration on Monday 9th December at Bedford Corn Exchange where the winners are announced.

So if you want to see recognition given to some of the outstanding sporting exploits that take place locally throughout the year, whether at the Bedford International Athletics Stadium (pictured) or any of the countless sporting and training venues across the borough, submit your nomination and help celebrate Bedford Borough's sporting culture.
