Bedford Street Iftar

Mayor Dave Hodgson attended the Bedford Street Iftar this evening and thanked Islam Bedford for organising such a great community event, in just a matter of weeks.
The Iftar, the breaking of the fast, is incredibly important to those that have been fasting, praying and reflecting to mark Ramadan.
Mayor Dave said "This evening's event was a fantastic opportunity to bring communities together to better understand each other, and it was good to see so many people from all of our communities in attendance. I hope everyone had an enjoyable evening tonight and I would like to wish our Muslim community well for the remaining days of Ramadan before we mark Eid next week."
