Halloween is here and with the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic Mayor Dave Hodgson and Bedford Borough Council have urged everyone to celebrate safely.

Coronavirus doesn't mean the end to fun, we just need to think of different ways to celebrate Halloween and other events. Suggestions include:

  • Have a Halloween movie night in
  • Decorate your home for Halloween
  • Have an indoor Trick and Treat hunt, or in your garden if you have one
  • Pumpkin carving - you can share these on social media using the hashtag #SpookyBedford
  • Have a virtual Halloween costume contest with friends and family
  • Bake some Halloween treats

The Council has designed some special Halloween pictures you can colour in - you can download them here.

The Council has also been giving people the opportunity to vote for their favourite Halloween movie on facebook and twitter this week.

However you celebrate, please do it safely. We have again seen an increase in Coronavirus cases in the last week and have now had over 2,000 cases in total across Bedford Borough since the pandemic started.
