Celebrating an Iconic Bedford Brand with Wells and Young's, the Blues and... a Live Eagle!

Dave Hodgson with Paul Wells, Bedford Blues and a live Eagle at the Relaunch of Eagle IPA — The eagle was an awesome sight, and was very considerate in the way it avoided spilling anyone's glass of Eagle IPA!

I was honoured to be asked to perform the unveiling of the new branding for the relaunched Wells and Young's Eagle IPA on Thursday. The beer has been relaunched to reaffirm its connection with Bedford, as asserted proudly by the slogan 'Born and Brewed in Bedford.' Thursday's event also marked Wells and Young's ongoing support for the Bedford Blues, another great ambassador for Bedford, and a number of players were in attendance, along with Director of Rugby Mike Rayer. With apologies to the Blues, however, I have to say that perhaps the most fearsome sight at the unveiling was another distinguished guest: a live eagle!
