Certificate of Excellence for Two Borough Parks
Bedford Borough's two country parks have both been awarded a 'Certificate of Excellence' by the world's largest travel site, TripAdvisor.
Harrold Odell Country Park and Priory Country Park are ranked the #1 and #6 attractions in Bedford, with average visitor ratings of 4.5 and 4 out of a possible 5.
The certificate states the parks have been awarded a Certificate of Excellence 2014, showing that it has "consistently earned outstanding feedback from TripAdvisor travellers."
Both parks are maintained by Bedford Borough Council and also continue to hold Green Flag status, which is a national award scheme for well managed parks and green spaces.
Lib Dem Councillor Sarah Jayne Holland, Portfolio Holder for Community and Regulatory Services, said: "Local residents can be rightly proud of our parks and open spaces across Bedford Borough and this award from TripAdvisor is further proof of that.
"Priory Country Park and Harrold Odell Country Park provide acres of natural habitats for wildlife, as well as opportunities for residents and visitors alike to explore and enjoy the countryside.
"I hope this award will encourage even more people to visit and enjoy all of our parks."
