Christmas Tree Festival

Mayor Dave Hodgson at the 2019 Bedford Christmas Tree Festival

Earlier today Mayor Dave Hodgson visited the Christmas Tree Festival at St. Paul's Church.

This year sees the 19th Christmas Tree Festival and it runs from today until this coming Sunday (8th December). The festival is organised jointly by Bedford Hospital Charity & Friends and St. Paul's Church.

The decoration of the 69 trees in this year's theme of 'The Twelve Days of Christmas' and the participation of school and community choirs who sing daily throughout the Festival provide a very magical atmosphere for the visiting public. Last year about 4,500 people came or took part in the Festival and over £13,000 was raised for the two charities.

Admission is £2.50, children under-16 have free entry. The festival is open between 10am and 5pm on Wednesday through to Saturday and 12noon to 4pm on Sunday.
