Cllr Wendy Rider Cuts the Ribbon at Oakhill Place Retirement Homes Development in Bedford
Liberal Democrat Councillor and Bedford Borough Council Executive Member for Adult Services Wendy Rider joined local retirees in Bedford to celebrate the grand opening of the new McCarthy and Stone 'Oakhill Place' development on High View.
Councillor Rider performed the ceremonial ribbon cutting at the new 'age-exclusive' development, which is on the site of the former Putnoe Lower School
Local retirees who attended on the day were among the first to take a closer look at the show complex at Oakhill Place. They also had the opportunity to find out more about Retirement Living Plus, and to meet the friendly McCarthy and Stone team while enjoying a celebratory glass of fizz.
Visiting the development for the first time, Councillor Wendy Rider commented: "It was an absolute pleasure to mark the official opening of McCarthy and Stone's new development in Bedford, and to meet with homeowners and staff. It was great to see the Oakhill Place development first-hand and the many benefits it will bring to local retirees."
