Ed Davey Delivers First Party Conference Speech as Liberal Democrat Leader

Ed Davey today delivered his first party conference speech as Leader of the Liberal Democrats.

During the speech, which you can watch in full at www.libdems.org/livestream, Ed pledged to become the voice of Britain's nine million carers. In a moving and powerful speech, he talked of his experience personally and how he was a carer as a son, a grandson and now as a father.

He also called out the Government for failing to deal with the Coronavirus pandemic, leaving millions of people behind.

Ed set out how the UK can build a new economy with millions of green jobs.

Ahead of the May 2021 elections, he added that the crucial elections in Scotland will determine the future of our country.
