Mayor Dave Hodgson conducts the 'Pints in the Parishes' draw
Mayor Dave Hodgson conducted a draw to choose the pubs to be visited for the series of 'Pints in the Parishes' meetings with residents in the rural areas

Having received an excellent response from Parish Councils after inviting them to nominate a local pub as a venue for one of the monthly 'Pints in the Parishes' events, I had to conduct a draw to identify at random the pubs I will be visiting. The first event at the Swan in Elstow was an extremely useful way of finding out the concerns and ideas of residents in an informal setting, and I am looking forward to the rest of the schedule, which is now confirmed.

The full schedule of Pints in the Parishes events is as follows:

25th May 2010 The Swan, Elstow

29th June 2010 Fox & Hounds, Riseley

27th July 2010 The Crown, Little Staughton

31st August 2010 The Bell, Cotton End

28th September 2010 The Plough, Bolnhurst

26th October 2010 The Bell, Odell

30th November 2010 The Swan, Bromham

14th December 2010 The Polhill Arms, Renhold

25th January 2011 Corner 5, Box End Park, Kempston Rural

22nd February 2011 The Jackal, Thurleigh

All meetings are on Tuesday evenings, with details to be published here on www.mayordave.org.uk

It is unfortunate that I am not able to make it to all parishes which responded to my invitation for 'Pints in the Parishes,' but I will be visiting them all to meet residents directly in the coming months.
