Goldington Update- Superfast Broadband is Here!

Bedford Borough Council has worked with the Government and BT to bring the national broadband rollout programme to Bedford Borough. The "Spires" houses (Maskell Drive etc) and the houses on the new Orbit estate (Markham Rise etc) have received one of the new cabinets in this scheme. The cabinet is based on Maskell Drive but serves both areas.

Bedford Borough Council has already been involved successfully in the first phase of the Government's national broadband project to make superfast broadband available to 90% of homes by 2016. Last month, Mayor Dave Hodgson confirmed the Council's commitment to provide the £1 million required to ensure the Borough benefits in full from the Superfast Extension Programme to expand superfast access to at least 95% of properties by 2017.
