Green garden waste collections to resume

23 Feb 2023
Mayor Dave with a Green Waste bin

Garden waste collections resume from 1st March, following the usual pause in this service over winter.

Garden waste can go in the green-lidded bin, including grass cuttings, plants and weeds, hedge clippings and more. You can check what goes in which bin at https://www.bedford.gov.uk/rubbish-recycling-and-waste/household-bins-and-recycling/what-goes-in-each-bin/

Please make sure garden waste is placed into the green bin loose, not in bags.

To find out when your next bin collection is, please visit https://www.bedford.gov.uk/rubbish-recycling-and-waste/household-bins-and-recycling/check-bin-collection-day/

Please ensure you put your green garden waste bin out alongside your orange recycling bin by 6am on your next recycling day. The collections will then take place fortnightly.
