The St George's Flag Flying at Borough Hall in Bedford

Mayor Dave Hodgson has wished a very happy St George's Day to all.

The St George's flag has been flying proudly at Borough Hall, although it was extremely still - this photo is therefore the one Mayor Dave posted to his Facebook page today with the comment:

"A very Happy St George's Day to all! We've got the flag of St George flying proudly at Borough Hall. Not a breath of wind today, so here it is flying a bit higher during the World Cup last summer.'

"It's still an uplifting sight in the sunshine today, too!'

"Looking forward to the St George's Day concert tonight at the Corn Exchange, in aid of the Lord-Lieutenant of Bedfordshire's chosen charities, with the Band of Her Majesty's Coldstream Guards....'

"...I'm also looking forward to the Bedford and Ouse Valley Scouts St George's Day parade this Sunday, which is always a great event. It's taking place from 1:45pm in Harpur Square."
