Hitting the Heights!

Last week I was invited along for a sneak peek inside 'The Heights,' the new development of the old BT Building between St Mary's Street and Kingsway in Bedford. Whatever your views on the external view of the building, there's no denying that it is a major landmark as the town centre's tallest building, and it has been very sad to see it standing there hollow and lifeless for so many years now. That's why I'm delighted to be able to report that the development work is almost complete. I was shown several of the apartments and got a good feel for the development. It really will be fantastic to see people moving in there, bringing new life, not to mention economic activity, to that part of Bedford.

Having been taken up to see the views at the very top of the building, I can confirm that they really are fantastic!

I will be attending the launch event for the new apartments, which is coming up next month. I want to congratulate the developers Birmingham Properties for coming in and completing the development, after problems for the previous developers saw a long period of inactivity at the site.
