However, with dates now confirmed for a couple of important free Christmas events in Bedford, you may want to pencil them into your diary to make sure you and your family are able can join in the fun when they come around.
The first date to note is for the ever-popular Christmas Lights Switch-On along the Embankment, which this year is taking place on the evening of Tuesday 29th November. This event, which kick-starts the Christmas season in Bedford Town Centre, will feature a spectacular fireworks display before the town's festive displays are illuminated.
The second exciting event coming up at Christmas in Bedford is the Victorian Christmas Fair. This year the Fair takes place on Friday 9th to Sunday 11th December, and will offer fun for all the family including the usual mix of victorian themed stalls. activities and dress. Once again the High Street will be pedestrianised temporarily to enable an expanded Christmas market to run along the length of the Street. Unlike last year's fair, this time around the stalls on the High Street will be facing onto the road, rather than the pavement, in order to allow for more space and comfort for those enjoying the fair.
So, as I say, apologies for the premature Christmas posting, but please make a date for these fantastic events in Bedford town centre!
