The incredible classroom building project spearheaded by Mayor Dave Hodgson has taken another big leap forward this year.

For many years local schools and their upils have had to put up with temporary "mobile' classrooms. However, under the leadership of Dave Hodgson and the local Liberal Democrats this is becomming a thing of the past.

Across Bedford Borough scores of temporary classrooms have already been replaced with new permanent buildings. On top of this many new classrooms have been built for the two-tier change and to create extra capacity for the growing number of pupils.

Mayor Dave Hodgson said "In the past when the Tories ran the county council the temporary buildings were allowed to become commonplace. Now we are overturning that and getting them all replaced and making sure we build extra permanent classrooms as well as new schools for the growing number of pupils locally."
