This weekend Christmas arrives in Bedford.

The Christmas Fair will be in Bedford town centre on Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of November, between 10am - 5pm with plenty to do with over 30 stalls, mulled wine and German sausages, as well as music, singing and dancing and character appearances from 'Transformers' Optimus Prime & Bumblebee and 'Anna & Elsa' from Frozen 2.

The Christmas Lights Switch On will take place on Sunday 24th November on the Embankment, the fireworks display will take place from 5.30pm.

Don't forget there is 2 hours free parking on the Saturday and free parking all day Sunday at council owned town centre car parks plus the Harpur Centre underground car park.

Late night shopping will start the next week, on Thursday 28th November, and carry on every Thursday until Christmas.

The Kempston Town Christmas Lights switch on will take place on Tuesday 3rd December between 5pm and 7pm.

From Wednesday 4th to Sunday 8th December St Paul's Church in Bedford will be holding their ever popular Christmas Tree Festival. Admission is £2.50, with children having free entry. There is more information here.

With Christmas just around the corner, the annual Liberal Democrat Christmas Draw is again taking place with some great prizes including a £1,500 holiday voucher. Tickets cost just £1and you can get your ticket here.
