Join the Great British Spring Clean
Although the weather has been changeable, it feels like Spring is coming and to 'celebrate' Keep Britain Tidy are encouraging people to be #LitterHeros and take part in the #GBSpringClean. It will run between 23rd March and 23rd April.
There are already events planned in Bedford, Great Barford, Great Denham, Melchbourne, Sharnbrook, Stagsden, Stevington, Wilstead, Wootton and Yelden, you can find out more about this events, or organise one locally at https://www.keepbritaintidy.org/get-involved/support-our-campaigns/great-british-spring-clean. There is also a Rivercare Clean up on 30th March between 10am-12noon organised by the Council meeting at Star Rowing Club on Bedford's Embankment.
The events taking place across the Borough for the Great British Spring Clean are as follows starting at 10am (unless otherwise stated):
23rd March
Stevington - meet at Stevington Village Hall
Stagsden - meet at Millennium Green Junction
Bedford- meet at Salvation Amy Woolpack Hub, Commercial Road
24th March
Wilstead - meet at the corner of Luton Road/Longmeadow Drive
Wootton - meet outside the Village Hall (start at 10.30am)
30th March
Bedford - meet outside the Star Rowing Club on the Embankment, for RiverCare 2019
6th April
Sharnbrook - meet at Parish Office, 30 Church Lane
13th April
Melchbourne - meet at Melchbourne Village Hall
Yelden - meet at Yelden Village Hall
14th April
Great Denham - meet at the Community Hall
