Liberal Democrats make Kingsbrook cleaner, greener and safer
The Kingsbrook Liberal Democrat FOCUS Team has taken action to make Kingsbrook a cleaner, greener and safer ward for residents. Since being elected, Councillor Dean Crofts and the late Councillor Patrick Solomon have worked with Bedford Borough Council to install new streetlights, reduce speed limits to 20mph and plant hundreds of trees.
Councillor Crofts said "We have listened to the concerns of residents and acted. Our streets are now cleaner because of the installation of CCTV and anti-flytipping signs, as well as the Community Bulky Waste clean-up we funded in the Cedar and Acacia Road area. Our ward is greener because of the 300 trees planted around Duchess Road and more near Fenlake Road. And our residents can feel safer thanks to new streetlights on Harrowden Road and Willow Road, and the reduction to 20mph in the Fenlake area."
New Kingsbrook Liberal Democrat candidate Henna Khanum said "Dean and Patrick have done a fantastic job for Kingsbrook residents. It has been a pleasure to join them working hard all year round. Patrick was a great man and I can only hope to carry on his good work in the community and on the council."
