London Northwestern Railway compensation for season ticket holders
London Northwestern Railway, who operate the Bedford to Bletchley Marston Vale line, are offering compensation for season ticket holders to make up for their delays and cancellations in recent months.
In addition to the Delay Repay scheme London Northwestern have said they realise that the extent of the disruption deserves more recognition, so season tickets will be discounted by 3%, which more than offsets the January national fares rise of 2.8%.
Mayor Dave Hodgson welcomed this news saying "It is good to see London Northwestern discounting their season tickets. Other operators should consider following their lead. Bedford Borough rail users have suffered from poor performance for a number of years."
Mayor Dave and Bedford Borough Liberal Democrats are fighting for Bedford Borough rail users on numerous fronts in addition to fares, including pressing for an East West rail route via Bedford, for intercity services from Bedford, delivering Wixams station, more Bedford Station parking and more.
