Mayor Dave Hodgson announces Christmas card competition winner

Bedford Borough Mayor Dave Hodgson has announced the winner of the Christmas card competition.

Over 400 entries were received from young people from across the Borough with many schools and home-schooled children taking part.

The winning design was from Dulmi who is in year 1 at Shackleton Primary School. Dulmi's design features Father Christmas, a Snowman, a Christmas tree, decorations and presents and is very colourful.

The runners-up were Raven who is in Year 6 at Livingston Primary School and Angharad who is in Year 6 at Scott Primary School. Raven's design also features Father Christmas visiting someone's home and Angharad's design features Bedford's Silver Faces and a Christmas tree.

Mayor Dave said "Congratulations to Dulmi, Raven and Angharard. I was impressed with all the entries and thank everyone who sent me their designs."

A selection of the entries are on displayed in the Harpur Centre.
