Commenting on Facebook, Mayor Dave said:

"I really enjoyed visiting Sunflower House this week to celebrate its improved facilities for children with physical, sensory and related learning disabilities. Most excitingly, they include this formula 1-style wheel chair raceway. Brilliant!'

"I also visited Foxgloves respite home for young people with physical disabilities, and saw the improvements carried out there by Wilmott Dixon Construction in partnership with Bedford Borough Council.'

"Great to see the enhancements on behalf of the children and young people at Sunflower and Foxgloves."
