Mayor Dave's Tribute to Healthcare Staff as NHS Turned 70

Mayor Dave Hodgson marked the NHS's 70th birthday earlier this week by paying tribute to NHS staff across Bedford Borough for all they do on behalf of us all.
Commenting on his Facebook page, Mayor Dave said:
"On the 70th anniversary of the birth of the NHS, I want to say a big 'thank you' to all NHS staff across Bedford Borough for all that they do to help keep people safe and well.'
"The way that staff at Bedford Hospital have maintained standards in the shadow of the threat from Government/NHS bosses of a major downgrade over ten years or more has been remarkable.'
"And of course staff across all health services across the Borough are due thanks for all that they do on behalf of all of us. My thanks to them all. #NHS70"
