Mayor Dave Sets Out Positive Message at First Election Hustings

Mayor Dave Hodgson has thanked all those who attended the first Mayoral election hustings, which took place on Monday. Commenting after the event hosted by the Mature Citizens Action Group, Mayor Dave said:
"Thanks to everyone who attended the election hustings event this morning at the Salvation Army's Congress Hall, hosted by the Mature Citizens Action Group.'
"Thanks to all for a good debate and discussion. I made my case for continuing in the task of saving frontline services and facilities which have been lost on such a widespread scale elsewhere, and maintaining our record which has seen the rate of jobs growth rapidly outstrip both the regional and national rates, with 16,000 more people in work since I was first elected."
