Mayor's Good Luck Message as a 'True Bedford Institution' Begins Life in New HQ

Mayor Dave Hodgson paid a visit to the impressive new home of Bedford Auctioneers W&H Peacock on Friday, on the eve of its first sale on Saturday 28th October. The £5 million project sees the longstanding Bedford firm moving its main operations from its Newnham Street premises (where smaller sales continue) to the stunning, purpose built facility at Eastcotts Park, on Wallis Way in Bedford.

Mayor Dave wished the firm and its employees good luck at the new site, and discussed the impressive nature of the site - along with sharing fond recollections of Newnham Street - with visitors to Friday's presale viewing.

Mayor Dave uploaded a number of photos following his visit to his Facebook page, where he commented:

"Having a nose around at the Friday presale viewing at W&H Peacock Auctioneers & Valuers has been a traditional Bedford pastime for many years.

So I was pleased to be able to pop along today, on the eve of the first sale tomorrow at its very impressive new Eastcotts Park premises, on Wallis Way.

Fantastic facilities, and chock-full of treasures and potential bargains, as is always the case at Peacock's. Good luck to all at what is a true Bedford institution for the big day tomorrow!"
