Mayor Dave Hodgson at Bedford SoupFest

Mayor Dave Hodgson has congratulated everyone involved following another successful SoupFest event to raise money in support of the homeless locally.

Mayor Dave visited the event, which took place on Tuesday 27th November, at lunchtime as large crowds enjoyed the soup and the entertainment on offer. He talked to volunteers and also spoke live on air with in2beats radio station, who were broadcasting live from Harpur Square. You can see a selection of photos he has posted on his Facebook page, where he commented:

"Brilliant atmosphere down at SoupFest Bedford when I went along earlier on. Great to see so many people enjoying the atmosphere, the live entertainment and the delicious soup on offer, all while raising money for support for the homeless locally. Well done to all involved!"

SoupFest is one of a range of activities taking place locally during Homelessness Awareness Week this week. You can find out more about local homelessness services, and what's going on during Homelessness Awareness Week, at www.bedfordhomeless.org.uk
