Mayor's Village Tour Hits the Road Once Again

Mayor Dave Hodgson talks to local residents during the 2012 Village Tour

Mayor Dave Hodgson's 2017 summer village tour across Bedford Borough is underway, following the first group of visits to rural communities last night.

Mayor Dave has held a village tour every summer since he was elected in October 2009, and this year's tour will see him holding walk-up street surgeries in 58 different villages across the Borough.

All 58 villages will be visited within a month, with the final street surgery taking place on August 8th

Mayor Dave is available to local residents throughout the year, via email, telephone, letter, surgeries at Borough Hall and much more.

However, the Village Tour is intended to make it as easy as possible for residents right across rural Bedford Borough to speak to him in person in an informal setting, about anything they want to raise.

Commenting, Mayor Dave said: "I'm looking forward to getting out right across the Borough and talking to residents in their own communities about what really matters to them. Thanks to everyone who has already been out to see me. The idea of the tour is to make it as easy as possible for people to raise any issue they like with me directly, so I hope lots of people take the chance to do so over the next few weeks."
