Medic Clinic looking fantastic say Lib Dems
Funding won by the previous administration continues to be a boom to Bedford businesses as part of the High Street Heritage Action Zone.
The Medic Clinic is the latest (after the Blue Monk, Silver Square, and Goldings) to have a facelift under the Historic England, Bedford Borough Council and Bedford BID supported scheme with works nearly complete.
National funding was secured by the previous Liberal Democrat administration to the tune of £1.76m to support the restoration of historic buildings on the High Street.
Liberal Democrat Group Leader Councillor Henry Vann, who oversaw the High Street Heritage Action Zone on the council said “The new works look fantastic. This is yet another boost for our High Street, as part of an ambitious scheme started by the previous council; we hope the new administration will continue this work supporting our town centre businesses and investing in our heritage.”
