Merry Christmas

24 Dec 2013

Writing before the Christmas break, Dave Hodgson has wished wished a very Merry Christmas to all:

"I want to take this opportunity to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. With flood alerts having been issued this week, the overriding concern is that everyone, including those in higher risk areas, is able to enjoy a safe, peaceful and dry Christmas. For the very latest, do keep an eye on the Environment Agency website, which has a 'postcode checker' to enable you to check if there are any current flood alerts/warnings where you live.

Tomorrow, on Christmas Day itself, I will be visiting Bedford Hospital to thank all of the staff and to wish a very Merry Christmas to those who have to spend Christmas in Hospital. I will also be visiting Bedford Fire Station with Chief Fire Officer Paul Fuller to offer a huge thank you and a Happy Christmas to those on duty.

Whatever your plans for tomorrow, I hope you and your loved ones have a very Happy Christmas.

Mayor Dave Hodgson"
