More Support for Shoppers and Traders: Free Sunday Parking In All Council Car Parks!

In another major boost for shoppers and businesses, free parking all day on Sundays is being introduced across all Council car parks. The decision is the latest in a string of measures to support shoppers and encourage town centre trade under Mayor Dave, with four successsive years of shoppers' car park charge freezes, the Mayor's Free Parking Deal on Saturdays, the new surface car park opposite the bus station and much more.

The decision to make the Council's multi-storey car parks free, bringing them into line with the surface car parks, was signed by Mayor Dave this week, and will come into force from Sunday November 2nd.

Commenting, Mayor Dave Hodgson said: "We want to encourage people to visit and enjoy Bedford Town Centre every weekend and to support local shoppers and businesses. Free Sunday parking across all Council car parks will be in place in time for the festive period and will continue all year round."
