New sports courses for adults over 35 years old in Bedford Borough

Bedford Borough Council's Sports Development Unit is launching new eight-week sports courses for adults over 35 years old. Courses can be booked from 30 March and will begin from the week of 15 May 2023, bookings are on a first come first served basis.

Sports offered include badminton, cardio tennis, golf, movement skills, pilates, swing dance, tennis, walking football, and yoga.

A Bedford Borough Council spokesperson said, "An Active Adults course is great for someone who would like to try a sport for the first time and are also ideal for anyone looking to return to a sport in a relaxed, informal environment with other similar-minded people.

"There's a great range of activities that will help those that take part to increase their fitness, meet new people and enjoy the benefits of a healthy lifestyle."

The sessions will be held in venues in Bedford, Wilstead, Kempston, Wootton, Great Denham, and Stagsden.

Courses are run for adults, by experienced and qualified coaches. All required equipment will be provided. It is recommended people bring their own tennis rackets, golf clubs, and badminton rackets where possible.
