Mayor Dave Hodgson said "It is great to see how highly rated and highly valued Priory Country Park is, by both local people and visitors from elsewhere. We are very proud of our fantastic local parks and open spaces across the Borough, from our country parks to the local neighbourhood playgrounds. My thanks go to the officers and all of our volunteers who work so hard throughout the year, maintaining and improving our fantastic parks, making them such great places to visit and enjoy."
This announcement follows news earlier this year that Priory Country Park once again won the Green Flag Award, for the 18th year in a row, alongside three other local parks; Addison Howard Park, Bedford Park and Harrold-Odell Country Park.
