Putnoe Woods Pre-School Is Now Open

30 Jan 2015

Putnoe Woods Pre-school was opened by the Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson, on Tuesday 20 January.

All children aged 3 and 4 are entitled to up to 15 hours-a-week of free nursery education. Since September 2014, there has been an increase of families who are eligible for the funding for 2 year olds.

Mayor Dave Hodgson said: "The vastly improved building will help local children to get the best start to their learning. The facility provides the opportunity for Putnoe Woods Pre-school to respond to the future childcare needs of parents in the community. With more children now eligible for free pre-school education, this new resource is being delivered in perfect time."

Cllr Henry Vann, Portfolio Holder for Education at Bedford Borough Council: "This resource can be used to host a range of childcare offerings. It provides yet more support for both young children, and their families, within our borough."
