This week is Refugee Week 2021, and local organisations The Higgins Bedford, St Paul's Church, Bedford & Bedfordshire Refugee & Asylum Seeker Support have been working together to run free events inspired by the theme 'We Cannot Walk Alone'

St Paul's Church is hosting an installation of creative pieces made by local schools and community groups, including a display by The Higgins Bedford's monthly Craft Club group. Today, 19th June is the final day of the installation, and members of the public are invited to take a quiet and reflective walk around the Church to view the installations.

Cllr Henry Vann visited yesterday, commenting here: "Great to hear from Fr Luke Larner, assistant curate, about the work of local organisations and in particular the excellent Bedfordshire Refugee & Asylum Seeker Support (BRASS), Yarl's Wood Befrienders, Migrants Organise and local schools and art groups."

You can read more about the installation here, while there is more information about Refugee Week available at https://refugeeweek.org.uk.
