Return of The Jobs Market!
There is an opportunity to meet dozens of potential employers when The Jobs Market returns to Bedford in September.
A similar event in 2013 saw more than 1,200 members of the public attend over the course of the five hours, displaying a wide range of experience, skills and qualifications. There were 34 employers represented, plus a number of training providers and information support services, with more than 1,000 job opportunities available on the day, resulting in more than 300 claimants signing-off after the event.
This year's event is on Wednesday 10 September from 10am - 3pm at the Bedford Corn Exchange. As well as employers advertising their job opportunities, there will be careers advice and guidance available, information on starting a business and an apprenticeship workshop from 10.30am - midday.
There is still an opportunity for businesses to have a stand for FREE. Just some of the organisations to have already confirmed their attendance are Asda, Capita, Charles Wells, Kier, Lidl, NatWest, Sainsbury's, The Army, Waitrose and Bedford Borough Council.
Lib Dem Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson said: "Following the success of last year's event, when at least a quarter of the people who attended found work afterwards, I'm hoping for an even better figure this time out. There will be a number of well-known companies there on the day, along with other smaller businesses. Please come to see what they have to offer and to either get yourself back into work or receive help in entering the job market for the first time."
This event is FREE so there is no need to book and you can just turn up on the day. For further details or to pre-book a seat at the apprenticeship workshop, please contact The Jobs Hub on 01234 223510 or email here.
