The Community Volunteering Team at Bedford Borough Council is holding the annual Rivercare Clean Up once again this coming Saturday (28th May), between 10am-12pm.

The registration point will be at the Butterfly Bridge on The Embankment, where volunteers can collect the necessary equipment and receive a briefing before heading off to help tidy up the surrounding riverside.

Parking is available at Aspects Leisure Park on Newnham Avenue. Please wear suitable clothing and sturdy footwear.

This event is supported by Star Rowing Club, Viking Kayak Club, Bedford Sea Cadets, Bedford Sub Aqua Club and Bedford Scuba Divers. The John Bunyan Community Boat will also be there to provide refreshments for all volunteers.

We look forward to seeing you there, and if you have any queries please contact volunteering@bedford.gov.uk.
