Just over a year from its opening, the award-winning Jobs Hub is bringing more fantastic career opportunities to the Borough. On October 14th the Jobs Hub will be hosting their first ever 'Jobs Market' at The Corn Exchange, Bedford. From 10am-3pm the Jobs market will offer residents career advice and guidance, job opportunities and help those wishing to start up new businesses.

The event will be opened by the Lib Dem Deputy Mayor of Bedford Borough, Cllr Charles Royden, and will host a number of prospective businesses looking to talk with residents and potential talent. Business giants NatWest, Sainsbury's and Centre Parcs will be there alongside local businesses; 5th Avenue, Baltic IT and many more.

Not only will there be over 800 jobs up for grabs on the day, but the NatWest Business School Bus will be stopping off at St Paul's Square to offer advice to budding and established entrepreneurs.

Since its opening the Jobs Hub has successfully helped over 5,000 residents seeking career advice and resources. The Jobs Hub has worked alongside people from all sorts of backgrounds and ages whether getting back to work or finding their first employment.

Cllr Charles Royden said: "It's great to see the success the Jobs Hub has had since its opening. Over 400 residents have been helped into full time work, training or enterprises. On the back of this the Jobs Market, in the heart of the town centre at Bedford Corn Exchange, promises to be a fantastic event for those looking for employment, training and access to career advice."
