Royal British Legion Riders Take Mayor's Wreath to Belgium

Mayor Dave Hodgson presents the Bedford Borough Council Wreath to the RBL Riders

 

Royal British Legion Riders visited Borough Hall last week to be presented with a wreath by Mayor Dave Hodgson on behalf of Bedford Borough Council. The wreath was taken to Tyne Cot Cemetery in Belgium, the largest Commonwealth Cemetery in the world of either the First or Second World War, with 11,954 burials.

Speaking prior to the presentation, Mayor Dave Hodgson said: "It is an honour that the Royal British Legion Riders will take a wreath to Tyne Cot on our behalf to honour those whose bravery and sacrifice must never be forgotten."
