Saturday Wellbeing returns to The Higgins Bedford
Saturday Wellbeing returns to The Higgins Bedford on Saturday 23 April with free activities to help improve general wellbeing.
Visitors are invited to enjoy some down-time with an afternoon filled with a variety of relaxing and sociable activities.
Aragon Lacemakers will be demonstrating and sharing their skills in Bedfordshire lacemaking between 12pm to 4pm. Their 'have a go' pillow will be ready for visitors to try their hand at this relaxing and rewarding craft.
A range of table top games will be available to play with family, friends and other gamers, including jigsaws, Scrabble and Snakes and Ladders from 12pm to 4pm.
Visitors can relax and unwind as they focus on the sounds and vibrations of individually played instruments in a soundbath meditation run by Nathan Clegg. Please wear comfortable clothes and bring a pillow or blanket if required. The soundbath will run from 1:30pm to 2:30pm and donations are welcome.
Satwinder Kaur invites visitors to join in Tea Party Poetry from 2:45pm to 4:15pm to give a voice to their thoughts and feelings through poetry writing, inspired by different themes. Sessions are suitable for ages 14+ and no experience is needed to take part.
"It is fantastic to see the return of Saturday Wellbeing at The Higgins Bedford, providing relaxing free activities at our local museum and art gallery.
These are a great opportunity to take some time for yourself and perhaps try something new with a soundbath meditation or lace making, or give poetry writing a go, alongside table top games for the whole family.
Saturday Wellbeing will also take place on 21 May and 18 June and is free to join in. There is no need to book for any of these activities and all are welcome. Visit The Higgins Bedford website for more information at www.thehigginsbedford.org.uk
