Small Business Saturday and more Christmas events
This Saturday is Small Business Saturday and I would encourage everyone to visit some of our wonderful independent shops for your Christmas shopping.
Last weekend we saw Christmas Lights switched on in Kempston, Stewartby and Elstow. You can see some photographs and a video here, here and here.

This weekend there will be a number of events including three more Winter Wonderlands, fairs and music and religious services.
Sharnbrook Village Fayre will take place on Friday (2 December) from 5pm.
Shortstown Winter Wonderland will take place at Shortstown Village Hall on Saturday (3 December) from 11am.
Wixams Winter Wonderland will take place at Lakeview Village Hall on Saturday between 12-6pm, there will also be a Christmas Lights switch-on at 5pm.
Great Denham's Winter Wonderland will take place at Great Denham Community Hall on Saturday between 2pm and 6pm.
Dean and Shelton will be holding their Christmas Fair on Saturday at Dalton Hall between 11am and 2pm.
The Bedford Arms in Oakley has a Christmas Market on Saturday between 12pm and 4pm.
Queens Park Community Orchard have a community Christmas Tree decorating event on Saturday at 1pm.
There is also a Christmas Craft Fair on Sunday (4th December) between 11am and 2pm at Riseley Village Hall and a Village Christmas Fayre at the 3 Cranes in Turvey on Sunday between 1pm and 5pm.
The Place Theatre will have a special showing of The Muppet Christmas Carol on Sunday (4 December) at 1:30pm and 5pm and Bedford Corn Exchange have the Crown Ballet performing the Nutcracker on Sunday at 7:30pm.
The Christmas Tree Lights switch-on at Waveney Green in Brickhill will take place next Tuesday (6 Decemeber) at 5:45pm - Santa will be visiting at 6pm.
Kempston East Methodist Church will be holding a Bedford Brass Christmas Concert on Saturday at 7pm, Woodside Church will be holding a Bedford Town Concert Brass Band performance on Saturday at 7:30pm and Cantamus will be performing at Choral Music St Nicholas Church in Wilden on Tuesday 6 December at 7:30pm

Next week also sees the return of the Bedford Lions Club Santa Street Route, which brings enjoyment to so many.
