St George's Flag at the Old Town Hall

Happy St George's Day. We are flying the Cross of St George at both Borough Hall and the Old Town hall today to celebrate England's national day.

So far this year, we have flown the Bangladeshi flag on the 50th anniversary of their declaration of Independence, the Welsh flag on St David's Day and the LGBT+ flag at the start of LGBT+ History month, and of course the Bedfordshire flag for Captain Sir Tom Moore and more recently the Union Flag for the Duke of Edinburgh.

We will be flying more flags throughout the year, but often rely on local residents and community groups to supply the flags. If you have a flag you would like flown for a National or Independence Day please get in touch via email well ahead of the relevant day.
